Other Job Platforms

As you will soon realize, there are dozens of websites which post their open roles/job opportunities. As you seek opportunities, you may want to start with Handshake, since these opportunities are vetted and there is a large concentration of opportunities suitable for early careerists with 0-3 years of professional experience.

Please keep in mind that not every industry posts positions on Handshake, and many employers will only post 1 or 2 positions on Handshake even though they may have many more opportunities. Some employers have a “gateway posting” or generic posting that you find on Handshake but redirects you to the employers career website. An effective job search strategy extends beyond applying to only posted opportunities. Doing your industry research, exploring employers’ website career pages, and utilizing the many resources provided by Mendoza Graduate Programs Career Development (networking opportunities, resume reviews, coaching appointments, etc.)  provides the best return on your time investment.
